Tibetan Nomads
Tibetan nomads or Drokpa (approximately 2-2.5 million) inhabit the Tibetan Plateau at 4,000-5,000 meters—the world's highest and largest plateau. They endure extreme UV radiation, oxygen levels 40% below sea level, temperatures from -40°C to +25°C, and harsh winds. Yak herding, black yak-hair tents, Tibetan Buddhism, and butter tea culture define their adaptation to the "Roof of the World."
