Evenki People
The Evenki (approximately 77,000) are the largest Tungusic indigenous group spanning vast Siberian taiga forests from the Yenisei River to the Pacific Ocean. They endure extreme cold (-50°C winters), dense forests, and isolation across the world's largest forest biome. Traditional reindeer herding, shamanism, nomadic hunting culture, and conical chum dwellings characterize their adaptation to the harsh Siberian wilderness.
